Dear All,

You will all be aware of the catastrophic fire that engulfed the green keepers facility at Royal Jersey over the weekend. Whilst fortunately no one was hurt it is of course having an effect on the ability of the club to maintain the course in the normal fashion.

As a result and reluctantly the club have decided to postpone a number of tournaments over the next couple of weeks including the Rumball Trophy. This will give the club and greenkeepers some well needed breathing space until the irrigation is up and running fully and the emergency delivery of equipment arrives.

Once we have a revised date we will let you all know.

We are proposing to hold your entry fees until then and if you are unable to play in the revised date we will of course refund you.

Thanks for your understanding in what are pretty exceptional circumstances.
